Fall Trends::Outerwear

So, new development around here.  We recently started doing fashion workshops for those of you biz folks out there (or non-biz folks!)  If you want us to come speak to your group about dressing professionally or do a fun talk on trends, we're your girls!

During our most recent talk at CAA, we covered some of the upcoming Fall trends, so I thought I would share with all of you as well!  I will hit each trend (going clockwise) and pick a fave or two from what's out there.

It's not too early to start thinking about Fall, right?  It's SO hot in Nashville this week that everything I'm wearing is literally clinging to every nook and cranny.  I am DREAMING of furry layers.

The Blanket Coat:  Not the world's most flattering outerwear, but basically like wearing a throw and who doesn't love a good fashion-y throw blanket?

The slouchy (moto) jacket:  Everything is looking super loose out there right now.  See the normcore trend if you aren't familiar.  Moto is always good in my book and make it relaxed and I'm in.  This exact jacket is from Madewell.  And here's another that looks kinda like a trench below.

Free People oversize knit jacket, $168

The furry coat:  When I think of a big furry coat it reminds me of playing in my great "Auntie's" closet as a little girl.  If you actually have a mink from your great aunt Ethel, then that's even better. If you don't, I submit this beaut to you.

Vintage Faux Fur Coat, $125.76

The army anorak:  This jacket is the perfect piece to transition your summer sundresses
to the chilly days of Fall. The one above is from Piperlime and only $98!

Pretty much obsessed with this one.  So perfectly slouchy!  $58

The moto vest:  Another great transitional piece for over summer dresses.  I also love this over a simple t-shirt dress or added to a basic (think Ann Taylor) shift dress to
rock it up a bit.  A moto vest is the perfect day to night piece for all you gals headed to drinks from the office.

TARGET!!! On clearance for $19.58
