Danielle Bradbery::2014 Awards show season

I thought I would post some pics of some recent work with the adorable Danielle Bradbery. Here are some looks from her performing at the WWO Gala in NYC  followed by the CMA Awards and the BMI Awards. Some notable pieces are her Mason by Michelle Mason white dress, the Mason Stanley lobster claw earrings she is wearing with that, and the Song Sisters mic cuff she is wearing on the CMA red carpet by Lionette. I about died over the piece.

1 Chloe + Isabel Birthstone Studs:  These are so gorge! I love the variety of colors and the quality is amazing. At $22 a pair, there really is no excuse for not owning every color.
2 Beauty Counter Tint Skin Complexion Coverage:  This is THE BEST tinted moisturizer that I have ever used. In fact, I am in love with every single product they make. The skin care line is so amazing. And best of all? It's totally safe. This company is dedicated to providing the safest skin care possible. Check out their "Never" list here...I highly recommend you try these products! I can't say enough about them.
3 Younique Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eye Liner:  I am sure you have all heard of Younique 3D Fiber lashes. (It is THE BEST mascara I have ever used!) But, they also have a fantastic line of other cosmetics as well. I am LOVING my new eyeliner! It goes on flawlessly, stays on ALL day, and is totally smudge proof. You will LOVE.
Zara Oversized Check Shirt:  Who doesn't love a good checked button up? I especially love this oversized one since I am rocking my 9 month baby bump at the moment. It's pretty much a closet staple that you can pair with that plaid scarf, and you will be set!

Wait. This Top is HOW Much?

This top looks so "designer-y" that I kinda can't believe it's from H & M. Unfortunately for me, Beth has done all of our shopping at H & M lately, so I haven't actually seen it in person, but I really, REALLY want it. Doesn't it look like a million bucks? I would wear it with a pencil skirt and red shoes. Where? Well, I'm not sure about that. Around the house? Sure.

Some of you ladeeez out there who work in creative office environments would knock this one out of the park. This top says, "I see your traditional J. Crew blue oxford, and I raise you a set of trumpet sleeves. I mean bizness, but I also have a stellar personality."

1 H & M Trumpet Sleeve Blouse, $39.95 // 2 Schutz Gilberta Heel, $180 // 3 Bridge Cuff by Collette Ishayama, $200 // 4 Mango Pencil Skirt, $59.99 // 5 Ceri Hoover Cheetah Clutch, $130 // 6 NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, $25

Looking At Online::Fall Edition

I am just dying dying dying over how chic this cape is. Zara getting it so right yet again.
Zara double-sided cape, $169

I LOVE this color corduroy for fall, and a flare, if altered to almost skim the floor
with a heel is universally flattering.

This top is SO cute--kinda like a modified bolo tie. I would wear it with flare jeans
and a cute skinny belt.
Nasty Gal Mod Mode Top, $52

If you're gonna work at a coffee shop, which half of Nashville is, you gotta wear headphones to get work done. Oh, and you pretty much need to have a cloak of invisibility also because you will for sure see someone you know and for sure not get as much work done as you think you should.
Nixon Stylus Headphones, $130

Really wanting to do some denim on denim action with this skirt.
7 For All Mankind Button Front Pencil Skirt, $198

Thomas Rhett::"Make Me Wanna" Video

Sometimes your clients ask you to buy them very fitted black suits for videos. Actually that never happens. But miraculously, like NKOTB going on a reunion tour, it happened to me in the last two videos I worked on: Brett Eldredge's "Mean to Me" and this one by Thomas Rhett for "Make Me Wanna."

TR's suit is by The Kooples, a European line that I LOVE for a trim guy. (i.e. this type of suit would not work on a middle linebacker...more like a punter. Just to put it in fall football terms for ya.)

Ok, toot-a-loo. Have a great Monday and enjoy all the many Thomas Rhett's in this video. Which is your favorite? I think he wears that suit pretty darn well myself.

The Perfect Necklace

I used this necklace during some footage we shot of Danielle Bradbery last week, and we all agree that it's the perfect everyday necklace. Would look great for work with a shift dress, would look great layered with some shorter keepsake pieces and a v-neck tee...looks vaguely rock-n-roll with it's dogtag feel, but classic enough to not look like you're actually trying to be a rockstar. You can find this baby at Madewell, and while we're at it...WELCOME TO NASHVILLE, MADEWELL!  We are SO GLAD you finally came to hang :).

Transitions::Fall

It's about that time, and I'm SO excited. Fall. When the pumpkin section at Trader Joe's looks like a hurricane is approaching, and when you need to grab a light jacket on the way out the door. One of the most important things in fashion this time of year to get a lotta bang for your buck is knowing how to transition your summer pieces to Fall. You don't need a whole new wardrobe just yet, so a well-placed jacket and a change of shoes can be all you need.

In this outfit that Carrie put together, you have your petal pink summer maxi. You take off the thong sandals, and add a bootie. Exchange your straw clutch for a black leather one. Top it all off with a black moto jacket and 'voila'. We basically stole this girl's look and made it easy for you to shop. In all these pics, summer outfits are slightly tweaked making them Fall-appropriate. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte .

1 Mango pleated maxi dress, $59.99 // 2 F21 Faux Leather Moto Jacket $29.80 // 3 Braided double wrap belt, BCBG, $34 // 4 Fossil Erin Foldover Clutch, $148 // 5 Kelly Wearstler cocktail ring, $147.50 // 6 dv by Dolce Vita booties, $47.99

Add a denim jacket and some flat boots to a knit dress. Pinned here.

Exchange your tank for a sweatshirt with this adorable leather mini. Pinned here.

Add a cardi and booties to an easy jeans and silk tank combo. Pinned here.

Put a long sleeve shirt under a shift dress and add tights. Pinned here.

Danielle Bradbery::Acuvue

Last week I worked with my lovely lil' Danielle Bradbery on a shoot for Acuvue, the contact lenses. She did a concert here at J.T. Moore Middle School that was SO FUN. We may have all teared up a little when she was singing Katy Perry's "Roar" and the entire gymnasium started singing along. Slightly awkward middle schoolers shouting out "I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar." COME ON. Forget about it. I was done-zo.

Her outfit had to match the feel of the piece we did, where she is in a mentor role. But two things I wanted to point out are the jeans and the shoes. The jeans are a steal at $68--just perfectly mid-rise enough to hold everything in, and a good amount of stretch. The shoes are the best cognac color and surprising no one, they have fringe on them, my love language.

Brett Eldredge::"Mean To Me" video

What can I say about this video. We found a suit that fit like a glove and sat back and watched the magic happen in Chicago. It's super gorge and super fitting for the song. And ladies, just get ready. (insert smiley face emoji with heart eyes here.) Byeeeeeee.

Suddenly So Cute::Old Navy

While I was home in Louisiana last weekend, I took my bi-annual trip to the Pecanland Mall in Monroe, LA. Sure the roof was leaking all over, it's in terrible shape, and there's a food court restaurant called "Food 'n' Food" and a salon called "Hair We Go", but I've never been one to sneeze at any mall. I don't often make it to an Old Navy, but decided to stop in since I had nothing else really going on. Let me just say, I was pretty shocked. I texted Carrie "somehow I just spent $100 at Old Navy." I truly couldn't believe how many cute things there were and for not just Theo. Me too!

I know a lot of us don't love spending a ton of money on those especially trendy pieces for our wardrobe, so ON this season might be where you need to head to unexpectedly drop a hundred dollars. Don't expect these duds to last more than a couple seasons, but for this price, who cares? Here are some of my faves from the site right now.

1 Tweed jacket, $39.94 // 2 Animal print belt, $16.94 // 3 Ooh La La sweater, $29.94 // 4 Felt baseball cap, $12 // 5 Felt smoking flats, $24.94 // 6 Elbow sleeve jersey dress, $29.94 // 7 Crinkle chiffon skirt, $20

Other things I love: this drop waist gingham dress (!), shiny skirt, and these lace-up sneakers.

Fall Trends::Accessories

On this Friday the first weekend of the NFL season, let's get a little girly with accessories. All of these pieces will be equally great for your tailgate party or for your everyday life.

Thank God for football and thank God for jewelry! Here are some of my fave things coming for Fall accessories. Hope your team wins (unless they are playing the New Orleans Saints in which case I hope you get stomped)!!

The bucket bag:  If you must (Oh, you twisted my arm) buy a new purse this fall, may I submit to you this fun shape.  You may never actually find your keys again in this cavernous thing, but you'll sure look adorbs walking instead of driving to all your destinations.  And think of all the calories you will burn carrying its weight.

Madewell Lafayette Bucket Bag, $198 (absolute perfection)

The boys baseball cap:  Has been around for a few seasons now, but loving the style with different fabrics like leather and wool as an alternative to a beanie for the chillier temps.
The hat pictured above is here

J. Crew Colorblock Wool Baseball Cap, $39.50

A great scarf:  Of course I am super-biased about fashionABLE scarves because I help design them, but oh my gosh, they are also SO DARN CUTE.  The scarf pictured above and below is called the Eden, and it is the perfect thickness for Fall and early Winter but so super soft and cozy. You gotta have a scarf to keep the chill away, and it may as well support an amazing cause.
Eden Scarf in charcoal, marigold, terracotta and ivory, $65

Dainty rings:  Have been loving this look for a while, and it's still going strong. Stack on as many as you can handle. Rose gold is a particular favorite of mine right now.

Tiara Romance Ring on Fab.com, $35.84

The lariat necklace:  I have one of these that Matt got me when we had Theo, and I get so many compliments on it. It is a great piece to spend a little money on because the shape is just so unique, and you'll want to wear it all the time and keep it forever. And might I suggest going ahead now and hinting to your husband about a "push present." It's pretty much the best and you've freaking earned it.

Jennifer Zeuner Diamond Detail Double Mini Bar Lariat, $198
You can't really see the awesome detail on this, but there's a teeny tiny diamond on that bottom bar that is like the brandied cherry in the bottom of an amazing Manhattan--totally not necessary, but DANG.

Warby Parker Fall '14 Collection

Warby Parkers. I don't have any, but I definitely want some. And from their new Fall '14 collection, I want the Coley. The Coley comes in tortoiseshell, which I love, but I am particularly liking the clear frames. They look a little Parisian in that they are so dang cool without looking like they are trying too hard. And they will just make you seem smarter. Like my next-door neighbor whose kid only speaks French, and he's 3. I mean, smarter for sure. And think about it, they would go with any outfit too!

I swear pregnancy made my eyes worse. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I'm sure that's not it. It was definitely pregnancy. So maybe these are my new glasses for the Fall to go with my new prescription. Go check out WP's whole new line here, and at Imogene + Willie here in Nashville. ANNNDD, remember that for every pair you buy, Warby Parker gives a pair to someone in need. Love that.

I went ahead and put my dream outfit together below with my new fave frames. Cool without trying too hard--a sweatshirt paired with sneakers and a pencil skirt. A great weekend going-to-brunch outfit for the Fall.
1 Wildfox 'ello sweatshirt, Shopbop // 2 Pencil skirt, Old Navy // 3 Warby Parker Coley crystal frame // 4 Mossimo quilted slip-on shoe // 5 CCSkye cuff bracelet // 6 DVF clutch

Lip Gloss Junkie::Summer Beauty Edit

Ahhhh...Summer. My favorite time of year. Life just feels a little more laid back. There's nothing like some sweet tea sippin' on the front porch swing. But, then there is the heat. Here in the South it gets HOT and humid. Makeup basically melts off your face the minute you walk outside. And, just forget about doing your hair. No need. So, I like to keep it simple. Lightweight shadow, a little mascara and the perfect sheer lip color.

Since it's now Labor Day, heralding the end of the summer I hold so dear, I thought it would be fun to share a few of the "can't live without" beauty products that I have been loving all summer long!
Ok, I would like to say this eye cream works wonders after all of my late nights out partying. But, it's actually just my lifesaver after night after night of NO SLEEP because I am 7 months pregnant. Oh, and my 4 year old is the worst sleeper known to mankind. This stuff is legit, y'all. And, it feels sooooo good after you apply. It's a serious must have. No dark circles, no puffiness. Amen.

This drugstore stuff is a weightless gel color with a hint of shine. It just gives you that gorge, natural look.

Throw some of this on after you shower and your skin will thank you. Seriously, it's the best body lotion I've ever used. And, the smell? Delish!

This is the perfect summer shadow. Why? Because... "Infallible Eyeshadow provides sweatproof, waterproof, crease-resistant wear with velvet-soft texture that blends easily, providing luminous color with a smooth, even finish." Bam.

While we are at it, let's just talk about the effect that little to no sleep has on your WHOLE face. I swear, I feel like I have aged 10 years since having kids, er, I mean after all of my partying like a rockstar...This, my friends, is a magic potion. You will wake up with a glow. Trust me.

There ya have it! My beauty round-up for the summer. Have a product you can't live without this summer? Hit me up in the comments section below.

xoxo

Cole Swindell::"I Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" video

We are not lacking for adorable, sweet guy clients over here at Amber Lehman Styling.  Cole is one of our newest, and we just LOVE him.  He's wearing the heck out of some John Varvatos in this video.  Loving the jacket and the black tee, which both fit to perfection.  Our girl Stephanie, the lead in this piece, is wearing lots of Charlene K bangles and Diana Warner Studio earrings.

Aritizia Fall '14

One of THE stores I always stop over in when I'm visiting NYC is Aritzia.  It is Canada-based, but has a massive two-story outpost in Soho.  I think they get it so right with their neutral palette and breezy silhouettes, and the price point is so manageable for the quality.  I've loved every Aritzia piece I've ever owned!  You can shop online of course, and I have gotten super pumped for Fall perusing their look book this morning.  Here are some of my faves from it!

White Jeans in the Fall? Yes.

One of the questions I get asked the most is when do I need to stop wearing my white jeans. Can we all just get over the antiquated "no white after Labor Day" thing and band together and decide we are going to wear them all year?  Cold weather has never stopped Beyonce from wearing leotards and neither should a little chill in the air deter us from our white jeans.  Below is a look I love for Fall.  The key is to warm up your jeans with some cozy knits and warm tones.  Steer clear of spring-y colors and fabrics, and you've got yourself a winner.

Below this are even more looks I love that I found on Pinterest. Duh.

1.  Rowhouse Sweater by Madewell // The jean:  2. Seven For All Mankind Kimmie (on sale!) // 3. Bauble Bar necklace // 4. Rag & Bone 'Newbury' ankle boot  //
5. Lizzie Fortunato clutch // 6. Essie nail polish in inky cobalt blue

Fall Trends::Outerwear

So, new development around here.  We recently started doing fashion workshops for those of you biz folks out there (or non-biz folks!)  If you want us to come speak to your group about dressing professionally or do a fun talk on trends, we're your girls!

During our most recent talk at CAA, we covered some of the upcoming Fall trends, so I thought I would share with all of you as well!  I will hit each trend (going clockwise) and pick a fave or two from what's out there.

It's not too early to start thinking about Fall, right?  It's SO hot in Nashville this week that everything I'm wearing is literally clinging to every nook and cranny.  I am DREAMING of furry layers.

The Blanket Coat:  Not the world's most flattering outerwear, but basically like wearing a throw and who doesn't love a good fashion-y throw blanket?

ON SALE AT URBAN!!! $29

The slouchy (moto) jacket:  Everything is looking super loose out there right now.  See the normcore trend if you aren't familiar.  Moto is always good in my book and make it relaxed and I'm in.  This exact jacket is from Madewell.  And here's another that looks kinda like a trench below.

Free People oversize knit jacket, $168

The furry coat:  When I think of a big furry coat it reminds me of playing in my great "Auntie's" closet as a little girl.  If you actually have a mink from your great aunt Ethel, then that's even better. If you don't, I submit this beaut to you.

Vintage Faux Fur Coat, $125.76

The army anorak:  This jacket is the perfect piece to transition your summer sundresses
to the chilly days of Fall. The one above is from Piperlime and only $98!

Pretty much obsessed with this one.  So perfectly slouchy!  $58

The moto vest:  Another great transitional piece for over summer dresses.  I also love this over a simple t-shirt dress or added to a basic (think Ann Taylor) shift dress to
rock it up a bit.  A moto vest is the perfect day to night piece for all you gals headed to drinks from the office.

TARGET!!! On clearance for $19.58

Sister C Photo Shoot

We were really inspired by rockin' girls for the most recent photo shoot I did with X Factor contestants, Sister C.  Their saucy song is called "Ladies of the South" and we wanted the shoot to reflect a more rocking side to them.  I will highlight a couple of my fave pieces we picked up below the images.  Happy weekend!
