Merry Christmas from Amber Lehman Styling!!

You might remember my little blog series taking a room and turning into an outfit with my buddy, Ash?  Well, we had all good intentions of getting one up before Christmas, and it just didn't happen.  Waah, wash.

However, I did finish up this little beauty today just to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my awesome friends and readers!  I took a holiday vignette and used it to inspire an outfit.  You know, come to think of it, this would be a great New Year's Outfit too, and lots of the pieces are on sale now!

Hope you and your family are warm and toasty around a fire and enjoying time together today.  Merry, merry!

Love,
Amber (& Ash :-)

Is this tree totally awesome or WHAT???  Adore the black and white

Lip Gloss Junkie::Stocking Stuffers

Hey!  It's Carrie, the Lipgloss Junkie here.

Just thought I would spread a little holiday cheer by sharing my favorite stocking stuffers. If you are like me, you have been super busy and have waited until last minute to start shopping. I've got you covered!

For your mistletoes:  Julep Cocktail Glam Winter Collection, $24
A friend recently gifted this to me and I LOOOVE it. The colors are so great + it comes in a sparkly little gift box = perfection. Plus, it's ON SALE!  Also, check out all the other little gift sets Julep has. You can't go wrong.

For Kissing Santa Clause:  ModelCo Shine ULTRA Lip Gloss, $16
OK, this is my newest "lip gloss obsession". I found out about this one via my December Birchbox. It is such a pretty color and it has a built in mirror for quick touch ups. So fun! While we are at it, can we talk about Birchbox? It's the perfect gift for the Lip Gloss junkie in your life. You get an adorable little box full of yummy beauty products once a month picked just for you. It's the gift that keeps giving and WAY better than the jelly of the month club. ($10 a month)

For the Mister:  King of the Road Travel Pack, $69
My hubs is a big fan of skin products. Please don't tell him I told you. I recently purchased this travel set for him and he loves it!
For your little Elves:  Piggy Paint Nail Polish Set, $24.99
I have a 3 year old and she is WAY into painting her little piggies. We love this non-toxic nail polish! Jingle Nail Rock? Stop.

Hope this helps take a little stress out of your shopping!

May your days be merry and bright!

Lauren Alaina::America Country Awards

BEST NEW ARTIST!!  I cried.  I must admit.  When you've worked with an artist from the beginning, you can't help but feel committed.  She's come such a long way too...in her style especially, and I don't think we could've picked a better dress for her to accept her first big award in.  And heck, if you can wear yellow the way this girl does, then you should definitely wear it because 95% of the population CAN'T.

Grrrrr....Leopard Print in Country Weekly

I'm quite certain that leopards don't "Grrr..." but it's pretty hard to recreate their howl in the subject line of a blog post.  So just go with me on this one.

This clip was in Country Weekly recently, and I thought I would share.  God bless him, how brave is Jake Owen for wearing leopard print on a jacket?  Pretty brave.  It's much easier to pull off on a perfect wrap dress like Lauren's.  It's by Parker.  They do this shape every season, and it LITERALLY looks good on EVERYONE.  No lie.

Here it is at Bloomingdale's in an ombre snake print, featuring my favorite color, purple.  I'm telling you.  Cannot go wrong with this baby.

Party Style::Monaco Blue

I was emailing a little today with my friend Sam from Word Entertainment who coordinates the merch for all his artists.  Oh, merch?  That's a Nashville term for the stuff artists sell at concerts.  :)   Anyway, we were chatting about the color forecast for Spring 2013 so he could predict what might sell as far as  shirts and designs.  That got me to thinking, hey why not be a little ahead of the game and pull a holiday dress or two so you can wear Spring now, but so you can even wear the dresses later!

One of the big colors for spring is called Monaco Blue.  I've recently had an obsession with navy, which is real close to this, especially mixed with pink.  I managed to get two different fashionABLE scarves produced, in fact, that were a combination of the two.  So of course, the polish is pink and it will totally complement and pop.  I picked a clutch too, but the shoes are up to you!  Hope your parties are lively as all get out this year.  P.S. ModCloth has SO many great dresses at SUCH great prices.  TTYL!

1.  Elegance with a Sparkle Dress, $99, ModCloth; 2.  DVF Carolina Lips Metallic Clutch, $395
3.  Essie Nail Color in Fiesta, $8, Beauty.com
I love navy or blue with pink.  Switch it around and do a neutral nail color  with a pink clutch if ya want!

Joanna Smith::"We Can't Be Friends"

Gorgeous new video debut from Joanna Smith on tap for ya today.  I adore the dress she is wearing in the solo performance shots.  I think is the perfect, airy number for such a wistful, emotional song.  The all-day outfit she is wearing is of course featuring my fave--an oxblood top--and probably the best black skinny jeans I've used on anyone.

I'm not sure what Citizens puts into them.  Crack maybe?  Some special skinny serum?  Pajama pants material?  Anyway, they are the perfect blend of stretchy, but won't stretch out; soft, but not so weak they will wear out; and fitted.  They are literally amazing, oh-so-comfy, and the rise is perfectly mid-rise.  If you are looking for a new black pair, let me highly recommend these.

Fall Must Haves::Oxblood + Camo

Any self-respecting girl from the South has probably worn her share of camo.  If you weren't actually hunting squirrels, you were maybe pretending to be interested in hunting to impress your Lambda Chi boyfriend.  Oh, just me?

This season camo is not just for your dad and your Miller Lite-drinking Uncle Rick.  It's all over street style blogs and all over about every store.  I'm loving it mixed with the color of the season, Oxblood...Wine, Burgundy.  Call it what you will.  Ask any client, and they will probably tell you that I've tried to put them in this color at some point; even boys.  Check out Thomas Rhett at the BMI Awards--oxblood jacket!  It is truly one of my favorites.  It looks great with grey, black, olive green!  And CAMO!

I've gone ahead and pulled some of my favorite Pinterest images (follow me here) and some great pieces, featuring these two trends.  Complete with quippy commentary of course.  Happy CYBER MONDAY!

Basic cable-knit gets a facelift with camo skinnies.

1.  Tripp NYC Basic Camo Jean, $79, Urban Outfitters.  Not your dad's baggy hunting pants roomy enough to climb a tree stand, ladies.
2.  The Barnwood Boot, $198, Madwell.  The color of this boot is "blackberry julep", which may be an even better color than oxblood.  This guy would be a great addition to any wardrobe because it can be worn just like you'd wear brown, which is a lot.
3.  Camo Scarf, $95, All Saints.  All Saints really does have some of the most comfy, luxurious scarves.  Honestly, I do think this camo scarf could go with just about anything you put it with.
4.  Camouflage Print Blouse, $59.90, Zara.  The sheerness of this blouse makes it perfect for a black pencil skirt and a night out.  And what better way to hide any problem areas than loose-fitting camo.  No one will even see them!
5.  Feathered Knit Cardi, $110, Nasty Gal.  High rise skinnies + messy bun + tank + ankle boots + this AH-MAZING cardi = Street Style to the Max
6.  Pins and Needles Flocked Animal Portrait Sweater, $59, Urban Outfitters.  This would be the cutest sweater to wear to family dinner with your boyfriend's parents.  Then you can put on camo when he's ready to go squirrel hunting and you pretend you want to go.
7.  Vila Tip Collar Camo Jacket, $61.57, ASOS.  This might be the most perfect iteration of camo on this list.  And the anorak look of the jacket is just right for the season.
8.  NARS Lipstick in Trans Siberian, $24, Beauty.com.  Mom would be so proud if I wore this color.  Moms don't get the whole sheer lip gloss thing.  "Are you gonna put any makeup on today, sweetie?"
Oxblood is for lips too!!

Dearly love the shoes she chose to rock with this outfit.

Thomas Rhett::Beer With Jesus

I always love dressing guys like Thomas Rhett, because it feels like a guy I'd have gone to school with or hung out with in high school.  He's super cool and relaxed, and fun and easy to work with.  We love keeping his jeans really fitted, and the fit he is wearing in this video is the Diesel Safado.  The Safado is perfect for a guy who still likes to wear a boot under his jeans, but keep the fit really slim.

Sweaters and Sequins

I am probably about ten years too old to still be subscribing to NYLON magazine, but I can't help myself.  I am in love with Dani Stahl, NYLON keeps me current with music, and always provides me with fresh outfit inspiration.  I found the below tear sheet under my bed the other day while I was lounging around (...or actually, I was un-dust-bunnying my bedroom.)

Sweaters tend to bore me a little because they seem one-dimensional, but this outfit on Ellie Goulding is anything but one-dimensional.  It's a fresh take on how to wear a sweater that I absolutely adore.  This outfit couldn't be more me.  It's got an animal print, which I never tire of, a statement necklace, and it's soft + edgy.  You get me, Ellie Goulding.  You really do.  HAPPY MONDAY, Sweater-Wearers!

Hayden Panettiere::"Telescope" Video

BEWARE:  THIS SONG WILL GET IN YOUR HEAD LIKE NONE OTHER.

Also, this video is going to make you want a Sherlock Holmes-y trench coat.

So, I have now been able to work with Hayden Panettiere on two occasions, and she is one cool girl.  I collaborated with director TK McKamy on this video, featuring the song "Telescope" from the new show "Nashville", being filmed right here in, well, Nashville.  The BCBGeneration trench we bought for her is a total winner.  Those faux leather sleeves, which actually look really good in person, add just a smidge of edge to an otherwise pedestrian wardrobe staple.  You like?

BCBGeneration Contrast Sleeve Trench, $168, Piperlime

If you follow me on Instagram (amberlehman), you know I was pretty well obsessed with these
B Brian Atwood shoes we used on her also.  Baby, those are smoking.

Peter Nappi Fall Look Book

I just love the new Peter Nappi Fall Look Book. I styled it, and the photos were taken by Sarah Barlow, Hair and Makeup by Tianna Calcagno, and art direction by Amy Conte and Stephen Schofield. It's a real BEAUT! Hope it inspires you to go wear some boots or better yet, go buy some at PETER NAPPI!

Red Carpet Tips for Real Life!

It's CMA Week again!  "Country Music's Biggest Night" is what they say.  It's MY biggest night because it's always a bit of a party after a stressful week.  After all these years of dressing guys and gals for red carpets, I have learned a few tricks along the way, and I wanted to share them to help you look your best for your next event.  Maybe your red carpet is your company Christmas party or your Instagram photo from your friend's bachelorette party.  Hey, you still wanna look your best!

TIP #1:  Always eat healthfully (at least the day of your event) so you feel your best.  Often what you put in your mouth can really affect your mood and the confidence you feel for yourself!  I suggest a protein-rich breakfast of a scrambled egg white omelet packed with veggies, some wheat toast, and coffee to get ya going!  And DON'T FORGET TO EAT throughout the day.  Not eating can be almost as bad as overeating!  A steady intake of healthful snacks throughout the day like raw almonds, string cheese and lots of veggies (plus drinking water!) will keep your mood soaring and keep you from feeling bloated on your big night.
World's best snack.  Horizon string cheese.

TIP #2:  Invest in proper undergarments.  You will look so much slimmer and really make the most of your assets if you are wearing the right underthings.  The right size and shape bra for your outfit can make you look perkier and stand taller.  And DON'T be afraid of Spanx!  Spanx are the best supporting actress at ALL red carpet events!  Even for the slimmest of gals, Spanx can smooth out all the bumps, giving you the best silhouette possible!  And as far as underwear--NO PANTY LINE IS A GOOD PANTY LINE.  Get yourself some Hanky Panky thongs or the Target brand nude thong is only $5, and lies perfectly smoothly and doesn't catch on fabric.

SPANX 'Higher Power' Brief, $36, Nordstrom

TIP #3:  Do at least one thing to pamper yourself!  Whether that is getting a facial a few days before your event, getting a mani/pedi, or just taking a hot bubble bath, going into something like a red carpet where there are cameras everywhere or events where you're sure to be tagged on Facebook TONS of times, these little things will make a big difference in your outlook!

TIP #4:  Think about having your makeup professionally applied. You can go to the MAC counter at your local department store and for just committing to buy around $40 worth of makeup, a professional can apply your makeup for you.  If you don't have time or don't need any more Studio Fix in your life, just think about adding a few false eyelashes to the outer corners of your eyes.  It's amazing what either a professional or a little trip to Walgreens can do for your look!

TIP #5:  Don't forget to work out.  I always feel more confident at my events if I've worked out that day or at least a few times that week.  Even though that extra 30 minutes on the elliptical likely won't affect how you fit in your dress, it sure will get those endorphins going and help you feel your most confident!

TIP #6:  Wear lipstick!  Even if you're a gal who on a daily basis only wears Chap Stick, you gotta step it up at an event.  Those aforementioned cameras will be everywhere, and so as not to look like a character from the Walking Dead, you need a little color on your face.  I'm not saying pull out the fire engine red, but even a wash of color on your lips will make you look alive.  And don't forget your cheeks!  Add a little extra blush right on the apples--smile and where your cheeks get kinda plump right there beside your nose, just dust a little more on.  It will make all the difference in photos!
Nars Orgasm Blush, $28 (my fave blush and looks great on everyone!)

LORAC Buxom Lip Polish, $19, Sephora
Love this lipgloss.  A great wash of color goes a long way in photos.

TIP #7:  Speaking of photos, know your good angles!  In my experience, there are so many artists who are super cute but come off STUNNING in photos because they know their angles.  To find your "good side", so to speak, have a friend take pictures of your face at all angles, starting at around 30 degrees from your shoulder and going all the way to the other side.  It should be pretty clear what looks best once you see the photos.  Now, practice that!  Some simple guidelines:  Keep your chin OUT and *slightly* DOWN in photos to elongate your neck.  And then when you've found your angle, add it on and BAM.  You're in.  If you are getting a full length photo of yourself taken, the most flattering position for your legs is crossed right above the ankle or one leg slightly in front of the other with the weight on your back foot and your arms away from your body--elbow slightly crooked or hand on hip. If your arms are pasted to your sides, you look like a block.  Not a good look :-).

Jana Kramer at the BMI Awards 2011 with one foot in front of the other...perfectly posed.

Julianne Hough (my old sweet-as-can-be client) at the Billboard Music Awards 2012...
weight on one foot, crooked leg, hand on hip.

TIP #8:  Add a little sparkle.  One of my favorite quotes is from Oscar Wilde:  You can never be overdressed or overeducated.  In my book you can also hardly ever be over-accessorized.  What better time to bring out those blinging earrings!

TIP #9:  Finally, know that this is supposed to fun!  If you're having fun, it will show.  Realizing that so much of getting pretty and going to events is for fun and not taking yourself or the event too seriously will make you feel much more relaxed.  If something should go wrong, you'll take it all in stride and live to see another day!

FashionABLE Guest Picker

Today is a fun day because I am a featured blogger or "guest picker" is more like it, over on FashionABLE's blog.  One of my dreams is to be the guest picker on College Game Day, which fits right into this fall-themed blog, so I'm happy to get a little practice on scarves.  In my pics, I wear one of my favorite tried and true original scarves, the MULU, in a fab new color for Fall called Terracotta.  I also share some of picks for other Fall faves.  Those of you who know me will think I'm SO predictable.

Oh, and here's a fun surprise, for all my blog readers TODAY ONLY (!!) you can get 20% off your entire purchase over on LiveFashionABLE.com using the coupon code, "AMBERFAVES".  Woo!  Get some Christmas gifts.  These are seriously the best.

Fall Must Haves::Poncho Lovin'

I recently had the absolute privilege to style the Peter Nappi Fall 2012 campaign.  I could not have been more excited to work their gorgeous shoes and handbags into some very cool looks like the above.  I mean, that car??!!  All those textures the guy is wearing!  And who could not completely DIE over that poncho.  OMG, that poncho.  I've been completely obsessed with getting a poncho and wanting to buy everyone a poncho since this shoot.  The particular one above is vintage from Local Honey here in Nashville.  But I have rounded up a few more pics and some fave ponchos below.

Ponchos are never gonna scream "form-fitting", "look at my hot bod", or "I'm going to work at the law firm"...what they are going to scream is hippy glamour and casual coolness.  Thrown on over patterned leggings like we used above or simple skinny jeans and a t-shirt on a chilly fall day will take your look from snoozy to exciting.  Anyone can wear a normal sweater after all, so choose a poncho to make your fall "working at the coffee shop" or your "it's chilly on this airplane" look a lot more fashionable.
1.  Hooded Poncho, Free People, $65.  I just used this poncho on Joanna Smith for her video "We Can't Be Friends", and it looked amazing.  Not to mention it is so cozy, I wanted to curl up in it and take a nap in the hair and makeup chair.
2.  Velvet with Contrast Lining Poncho, Winter Kate, $465.  So this isn't the most budget friendly, but  I love the velvet with that awesome peek-a-boo fun lining.
3.  Tie Wool Cape, Ann Taylor, $148.  So they call this a cape, but it's basically a poncho with a built-in belt, which is definitely more flattering.  I also used this on the Peter Nappi shoot, and we edged it right up with a leather dress and black tights underneath.  Right on, Ann Taylor.
4.  Maisie Cape, Anthropologie, $198.  When I was in Chicago this last week, I saw a gal wearing a black version of this over burgundy skinny jeans, tucked into lace-up boots, and it looked so chic, I wanted to style stalk her.  What an amazing way to wear a "coat" when it's not technically coat weather yet.

Eclectically cool.  Sweet Docs and geeky frames.

                 Black on the bottom and a chic handbag make the print of this poncho really sing.

                                                              Absolute Perfection.

The One That Got Away::Ginny Owens

Y'all might remember the little feature I started up a while ago where I tell you about a piece from a fitting that just didn't *quite* make the cut for our shoot.  When I worked with Ginny Owens a couple weeks ago, we never found a great place to shoot the Rebecca Minkoff Madison dress, but that doesn't mean we didn't absolutely LOVE it!

1.  I am obsessed with Ginny Owens.  She is such a lamb and one of the loveliest people I've ever met.  Her music MOVED me so much in college, and I still think back to some really hard times this song got me through.  2.  I'm obsessed with this PRINT!  It is absolutely the perfect mix of pretty and rock-n-roll, and the dress itself could not be more flattering.  If you want a piece that is slimming, here's a little secret, look for dresses and shirts with perfectly placed vertical lines.  Makes you look longer and taller.  And who doesn't want that, right?

RM made a slouchy blazer and a shift dress in this print this season, but this fitted dress with black tights and booties, would get you through many a wedding shower, cocktail party, or fancy dinner.  I can't handle how great it matches back to a cropped leather jacket and tough jewels for a night out.

Is this an incredible print or what?

Randy Rogers Band::One More Sad Song

I have been hearing my sister Julie, who lives in East Texas, talk about the Randy Rogers Band for years, but I had never really looked into their music.  And then I got a call from Mercury to work on the photo shoot for their new album.  We ended up picking some wardrobe for this video also.  I mean, I may be late to the party, but, uhhh, they're REALLY good.  Check out the video for One More Sad Song below.

Brandon Heath::Jesus in Disguise

Twelve to sixteen hours.  The average on-set time for a music video these days.  And yes, that's about 11-15 hours spent on one's feet.  So, yes while I love my job, and I love shooting music videos, it's sometimes just a little bit awesome when you run into one of your clients (today: Brandon Heath), and they tell you that they just shot a music video.  You're all, "Oooooh...sooooo..." and then they say, "Yeah, but we used all the clothes you bought me, and it looked great!"  Whew.  While you're always secretly a little bit happy that you didn't have to show up and stand for those many, many hours, you're kinda on the other hand saying in your head, "Oh gosh, what did they go and wear."  But yay!  I had already bought him all the clothes.  That was a close one, Brandon.  Here is his video for Jesus in Disguise, and he is wearing clothes, yes, purchased by yours truly.

Nicole Richie for Macy's

For a girl like me who likes to look put-together, but not like she tried too hard, there are some brands that pretty much always work:  Free People, Haute Hippie, and Winter Kate.  These are the brands where bell bottoms, flowy tops, and ethereal prints never seem to go out of style.  Which is FINE BY ME.  Also fine by me?  The fact that Nicole Richie has teamed with Impulse at Macy's to produce a capsule collection featuring all the things that Winter Kate is, but at a more, ahem, accessible price.  I chose some highlights from what was featured on macys.com.  I can't wait to see it in person!
Long Sleeve Scoop Neck Feather Print Top, $59
Pair with flare-leg jeans, platforms, and an oversized beanie.

Short Sleeve Geometric Print Hi-Low Dress, $69
Finish this look with ankle booties and an armful of bracelets.  Add a long,
beige or bone-colored cardigan for a chilly dinner on the patio.

Sleeveless Feather Print Dress, $69
Perfect date-night dress.  Wear with black tights and
one of the season's hottest shoes, the ankle strap heel.

Short Sleeve, Faux Leather Top, $59
So versatile!  Tuck into that patterned floral skirt to add a little edge.

Suddenly So Cute::Surf Lines

Quiksilver Check Stripe Poncho and Lorne Skinny Horizon Jeans, $89.50 and $64.50
As you guys have heard me talk about before, I picked up surfing a couple years ago and wish almost every day that I had started earlier, that I had been born on the beach (with the same family, of course), or that my parents had traveled around with us in a Volkswagen van from beach to beach when I was a kid.  Well, I can only make it to a surfable spot about once a year, so I fear that I've probably reached my peak.

Since I do love surfing so much, it's made me more aware of all the adorable surf lines that are out there.  I was in Rosemary Beach, FL, this last weekend, and I visited a really cute shop called Bombora Sun and Surf.  I was reminded of just how wearable so many pieces from lines like Quiksilver and Roxy can be, usually with that laid-back cool that comes with living a surf life.  And they're usually pretty well priced!

Check out some pieces I found online that might remind you to be on the lookout too.  Quiksilver is probably the most impressive.  They have Quiksilver and QSW, which is for the ladies, and a really simple but beautiful look book.  So, basically turns out you don't have to be in the market for a wetsuit to get a cute top or dress from Billabong or Roxy these days.

QSW Liberty Maxi Dress, $78.
1.  Sable Sleeveless Blouse, Quiksilver, $78.  It's a horse print!  I love this with cutoffs and lace-up black boots with maybe a black blazer to top it off for horsin' around town.
2.  Red Cedar Sweater, Roxy, $59.50.  This sweater thrown on over your yoga clothes instantly makes you ready for a run to the mall.  Doesn't it just scream "cozy"?
3.  Gold Bar Bracelet, Pura Vida, $20.  These Pura Vida bracelets support local artisans in Costa Rica (my love).  They are simple and well-made and would look great layered with all your other bracelets.
4.  Raleigh Bootie, O'Neill, $64.  I have a rash guard from O'Neill.  Who knew they made cute on-trend booties?  These look way more expensive than they are, and are a must-have boot height for Fall.
5.  Royal Serpentine Pant, Insight, $78.  You can find these amazing printed jeans on one of my favorite sites, Swell.com.  They always have an awesome selection of surf brands as well as some of my other faves like MINKPINK, Dolce Vita, and Scotch and Soda for dudes.
6.  Sheer Tunnels Dress, Quiksilver, $124.  For Fall, with a felt hat, boots and a sweater layered on top of this cute dress, you are good to go!
7.  All Mixed Up Backpack, Billabong, $54.  If surfers know how to make something cute and functional, it is a backpack.  It makes perfect sense really--you gotta be able to get your change of clothes fashionably to the beach so you can get right out of that wetsuit and right on over to Beverly Hills High.  Oh, yeah, that's only on 90210.  Nonetheless, some dang cute surf backpacks out there.

Best of Summer 2012::Beauty Edition

                                                                                      Source: theeffortlesschic.com via Amber on Pinterest

This pic is the most re-pinned photo on my Pinterest Beauty Board.  I titled it "Summer Face" when I pinned it b/c I thought that it was the PERFECT amount of makeup and glow for summer.  I've pretty much replicated it every day since.  #1 take home message is you can find my Pinterest Beauty Board here.  #2 The "Lip Gloss Junkie" Carrie and I have gathered ALL of our favorite beauty products from summer right here in an all-star blog.  We've tried them all too, and Lord knows we're not getting paid to write about 'em!  It's just cuz we wanna help some sisters out!

Hope you had an amazing summer and you're probably like me...ITCHING FOR FALL!  Luckily these products are not limited to your summer use, they will transition right on over to fall AND winter!

1.  Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter, $7.49, Drugstore.com.  So smooth and sheer, but GREAT color.  I love the light pink and coral.  ~Carrie
2.  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF20, $58, Nordstrom.  Amber and I both LOVE this for the hot summer months and anytime, really!  It has perfect, sheer coverage, a really nice sheen, and doesn't feel thick, which is NOT what ya want when you're gonna be sweatin' this much!  ~Carrie
3.  Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser, $6.97, Walmart.  In the summer I generally wanna wash my face every waking moment because it feels so intensely disgusting with all this humidity.  We should be careful with what we put on our faces too, and this face wash has no harsh chemicals.  It doesn't over dry and it has the perfect amount of suds to scrub away the sweaty mess you call your makeup at the end of a steamy August afternoon. ~Amber
4.  Natural Light Face Lifting Duo, $19, Bare Escentuals.  I know Amber loves this too.  It's perfect powder and perfect highlighter.  It's literally so versatile and really brightens your skin for the ideal amount of summer glow!  ~Carrie
5.  LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Lively, $24, Tarte Cosmetics.  This baby is my go-to for perfect night-out (ahem, camera ready) lips. It is matte, so it literally stays on FOREVER, but you can add a bit of sheer gloss to the top for an extra shot of shine to match your sheeny flawless face if ya want. ~Amber
6.  Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow Collection, $36, Too Faced.  A natural eye is the only way to go for daytime in the summer.  I absolutely adore this set in this adorbs little palette. ~Carrie
7.  Herbal Insect Repellant, $8, Burts Bees.  This "bug spray", or "mosquito dope" as we call it in Louisiana, wards off bugs using only essential oils.  Plus it smells great!  Therefore, you won't reek of Deep Woods Off and you'll be mosquito-free, all while knowing that cancer juice is not seeping into your skin. ~Amber
8.  Pixi Nail Colour in Coral Cabana, $8, Target.  ::THE PERFECT DAY-GLO ORANGE to match your tan::  Hands down my fave nail polish of the summer!!  You don't think you'll get attention?  Check out my toes below at my bday party (in dim light, I might add.)  They were clearly trying to steal the spotlight on my big night. ~Amber
9.  Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, $5.49, Drugstore.com.  Matt caught me several times this summer going completely nuts with these..."Haven't you blotted your face like 10 times today already?" They are completely addictive, I tell you! And they fit perfectly in your clutch.  AND they're easy to come by at any drugstore. ~Amber
10.  Sephora Collection Outrageous Volume Mascara, $15, Sephora.  Want lashes like that gal up there? I promise you this mascara will absolutely do it. ~Amber

Justin Moore:: "Til My Last Day" Video

Justin Moore is hands down one of my favorite clients.  He is so nice, and so down to earth!  This video conveys a touching, down home story that kinda makes me think that Justin could easily be one of the dudes in the video.  In fact, those "dudes"?  I'm pretty proud of them.  My instructions were to make them look like "workin' men"...Sleeveless tee.  Camo hat turned around backwards.  Steel-toed boots.  Light wash, loose fitting jeans.  That's the uniform, and I know this because my brother and my dad are "workin' men" in Louisiana.  Of course, I dressed Justin and his band and all the other extra's.  Directed by Peter Zavadil, such a sweet story.  What do you think?  Pretty accurate wardrobe, right?

FashionABLE Fall Faves!

So I'm gonna share with y'all my FashionABLE Fall Faves, and also one of my new FAVE FRIENDS--Blanca from Group1Crew.  I tell ya, this girl is as beautiful inside as she is outside, and she challenges me so much, both with her fashion sense AND with her heart!  I am having so much fun with her and Manwell on the GOG tour.  Check out the video we did for the new FashionABLE Saba Infinity as well as a couple more scarves I think you will love below!

Oh, and Manwell's "Top Down" playlist is amazing.  Check it out on Spotify here.  (It has an NSYNC song on it!  See?  This is why I love them so much.)
