...between the waist sizes of 29 and 32, get your butt down to Posh in Hillsboro Village right now and buy some Rock and Republics. They are closing them out, and they are all 50% off. That means that these jeans are running around $113--KILLER for a pair of jeans that are this great-fitting. Coincidentally, if you are a guy not of those sizes and still want jeans on sale, they're not AS cheap, but Belk has all their men's 7 For All Mankind and Joe's Jeans 25% off. The men's Brixton in Joe's (pictured left) is particularly good right now because the trend in men's jeans is definitely away from a flare, but the super-skinny is certainly not super-flattering on everyone. The Brixton is great because it is a wearer-friendly straight leg. So, you still get the look, and this fit generally works for everyone...most everyone.

These guys are freaking hilarious. Now, that was a day when it didn't feel like work...all except for when we got kicked off the dirt pile where we were gonna take some crucial photos. The owners didn't "wanna be liable in case someone got shot." What?!

I told you I was gonna tell you about all kinds of deals...so here's a grocery-store deal. I think that means I am officially old. Did I also mention that we spent half the day working in our yard yesterday and I really wanted to go to bed at 9 o'clock? Soooo, at Kroger from now 'til May 18 (I think), when you buy a pound of Starbucks coffee, you get a coupon redeemable on-line for a $5 Starbucks gift card. If you subtract that from the total you just paid, your pound will run around $4...and you'll be so freaking excited when you get to upgrade to a latte instead of your traditional grande coffee. (This coupon is just "the man's" ploy to get me hooked on Starbucks coffee. Not gonna work though. I'm too loyal to the Dunkin' Donuts. Man, that's a good cuppa joe.)

Frequenters of the West End location of Nashville Clothing Company will love the convenience of the new location now open in Cool Springs. You don't have to back out into 6 lanes of traffic! And besides that, the space, which occupies the old Abbie and Jesse's, is super-open and full of all the great casual gear that NCC is known for. Stop by and see the owner, Tiffany Lewis, today. She also volunteers with Ellie's Run--Go Africa!!

Horns honking, middle of Demonbreun...that's where we were when we took this picture with my family last week. It's on the Sommet Center. I styled the girl and the guy for the billboard for a new show on CMT, and my mom and grandma both had to take pictures at multiple angles to "show people what I do when they get home." Now if Nana can remember why she took the picture when she gets them developed, we'll be in business.

I am giving away one of my biggest bargain-shopper secrets right now. You ready? One word. Kohl's. Kohl's gets me every time. I'm loving the recent trend of all these big box stores, including Kohl's, starting to cater to the needs of people like us who want to look high fashion on a low budget. Enter Simply Vera by Vera Wang. Oh, Vera. How I love you. And those Kohl's folks will mark her stuff down too. Like this dress. Here are all the places you can wear it. (And did I mention that it is half off right now...Marked down from $78 to, ummm, whatever half of that is.)
1. To a shower with a pair of little black ballet flats and a cute clutch.
2. To church with a black cardigan over it and some long chunky beads. Tie that little bow around the outside of the cardigan.
3. To coffee at the Puffy Muffin on Saturday morning with your mother-in-law with a pair of funky flip-flops or gladiator sandals.
4. To a wedding with some sparkly jewelry and some sassy metallic heels.
How many times have you needed a dress for something like a bridesmaids' brunch that's not overly dressy, but you still wanna look cute? Dresses like this that you pay 30-something dollars for, but don't look like they came from K-Mart are the deals you need to look for. And another thing, this dress is versatile for several seasons--the fabric is light enough for spring and early fall, and nothing about the colors screams any particular time of year. Vera, you are so smart.

It has been a busy week, my friends, starting out with styling a 3 Doors Down video that we filmed in Cincinnati. I probably heard the song 42 times at least, and well, I still like it. I can't help it--I'm a sucker for rock music. Here's the v-log made by the band's PR guy, Sharkey. I didn't make the cut, but then most of my work was done at the fitting the day before and at 5:30 that morning when I got them dressed. Everybody wants to be a stylist 'til they realize that I got up at 4:30 and worked 'til 8 and froze my butt off all day. Yep, it's not always glamorous.
