Nordstrom Anniversary Sale::Gifts for Me

Back in action, folks. By that I mean, my kid's in bed so it's time to take a little jog around the Nordstrom anniversary sale online.  Matt asked me what the theme of this blog was, and I said, well, it's things I want. Nothing fancy. Thought I'd share with you all too!  My birthday is in a month.  Ahem, Matt Lehman.

1.  Herschel Supply Co. Backpack $60, $39.90 Perfect for Theo's diapers at his new preschool! // 2. Michael Kors Mercer Chronograph Watch $275, $183.90 I'm so into tonal black on black these days, and yet another casualty of moving around last year--my boyfriend watch went buh-BYE. // 3. Trouve Leather Track Pants$298, $198.90 My best friend  right now is Matt followed closely by stretchy pants. // 4. Vince "Bowen" Suede Slip-on Sneaker$225, $149.90 A grown-up version of Vans. // 5. MOTHER The Looker Skinny Jeans $198, $129.90 I love how MOTHER jeans fit, and I'm needing a new stretchy pair for the Fall since having a baby. Justin Moore featuring Motley Crue::"Home Sweet Home" video

I worked on a video with Motley Crue.  It was truly surreal to be in the same room as Tommy Lee. Granted I didn't actually work with them, I dressed Justin Moore, but still. Motley. Crue. I was never really into rock music when I was younger, partially because along with shows sure to turn me into a heathen like The Simpsons, I was not allowed to listen to it.  Tommy Lee was married to Pam Anderson though, and somehow I was able to watch Baywatch. Not sure how that worked out.

We dressed Justin for six set-ups, and my fave thing we bought for him was the jacket in his performance scene with Vince Neil which is by The Kooples. It looks like Justin, but with a rock edge. We wanted him to look the part while he stood next to hair band royalty. Happy 4th of July, people! Hope you're on your way "home sweet home" to celebrate!

Danielle Bradbery::"Young in America" Video

I got to fully indulge my love of fringe in this video.  Maybe some would say, Amber, that's way too much fringe. To that I say, too much fringe is like having too many good hair days or having too much good luck.  It's not possible.  If you're reading this, you are probably much older than Danielle also, so enjoy reminiscing about the days that you used to run through the forest with a smoke bomb in a halter top. Wait, you didn't do that either?  Either way, I loved styling this video (assisted by Carrie) directed by Shane Drake.

Brett Eldredge::"Beat of the Music" Video

How have we not talked about this music video?  Like Stefon says, it has everything:  linen, beaches, girls in bikinis, hot dudes, fantastic views.   When Shane the creative director at Warner told me about this video, his next words were, "We're gonna need lots of shorts options and probably some linen." AAAAAAANNNNDDD, it was November.  So that was really fun.  Luckily, we happened upon a great sale at Lucky which is where the red shirt and light blue shorts are from.  I happen to love the blue and white striped hoodie, which looks unexpectedly cute in a beach scene, and it is by AG.  Found that little buddy on sale at Nordstrom.  We had to dig a while, but the whole thing ended up looking beach-appropriate even though it was the dead of winter here.

How amazing does Francesca look in the chic Trina Turk jumper we bought her for this "Good Morning America" performance?!  And what a voice!

Imogene and Willie's Lucy

I've got several pairs of Imogene and Willies.  The Elsie flare is my favorite, but the Lucy might be my new favorite.  I've always wished they'd do a low-rise skinny, and they finally have!  Maybe I should go ahead and buy my size and let it serve as motivation to get the baby weight off.  When I finally have this kid of course.

Buy the Lucy here.  Happy Friday, y'all!

Justin Moore::"Lettin' The Night Roll" Video

Happy New Year!  Just building a house and building a baby over here at Amber Lehman Styling.  The baby is 5 days past due, so there's that.  I figured why not write a blog since we're just hangin', me and him.  He's awfully coze in there apparently :-).

This Justin Moore video was an epic all-nighter where I was 30-something weeks pregnant, we wrapped at almost 5 AM, and I had a 8:30 AM call time the next day.  And the 3 days after that.  I had scheduled myself on a four-day shoot the same week.  Yeah.  That was a rough one.  Maybe not the best idea in hindsight.  But now I'm just sitting around waiting on a baby to come out and watching Pretty Little Liars.  There's redemption to this story.

This video is the sequel to this video from last summer.  H/MU by Tarryn Feldman and Lindsey Davis.  Wardrobe styling by me.  Shot by Peter Zavadil in Portland, TN.
